Elizabeth Brophy was born in Australia & having won the coveted P&O ship company art award in 1971 whose prize was a year long all expenses paid trip for two to Europe,allowed her to visit Ireland for the first time.Ireland has been Brophy's home since 1993. Before that, elizabeth lived in Portugal for 13 years. Elizabeth Brophy has paintings in many collections both nationally and internationally.
