Jo Oakley's work is inspired by memories of her nan's kitchen. The pots, bowls, plates, etc. provide the subject matter for many of her paintings. She uses a layering technique to create depth in her work. The paint is layered, scraped back and layered again. Jo Oakley's art has been exhibited in England, Scotland, Netherlands and Ireland.
