William Crozier was born in 1930 in Glasgow, Scotland. He studied art at the Glasgow School of Art in 1949 and later went to Paris. His early career involved set painting for the Olympia Theatre and the Dublin Theatre Royal. He lived in London and Spain and now moves between Cork and Winchester. Crozier took much of his inspiration for his recent works from West Cork. He has had exhibitions in the Taylor Gallery and the Graphic Studio Gallery in Dublin and Bruton Street Gallery and William Jackson Gallery in London.
