Antoinette Harley is a Sculptural Ceramicist who specialises in Paper Porcelain. After 8 years in Graphic Design she has returned to working in clay, continuing her theme of Porcelain bags.

Her Inspiration is predominantly drawn from her great Grandfather's business which was established in the early 1900's in New York. 'Harley's Saloon' was eventually relocated to Donegal with the opening of a hardware and grocery store which still thrives on.

Antoinette Harley's Porcelain Bags represent the paper bag and paper sheeting which have always been the most common forms of packaging in the business. The embossed imagery on the bags are just some of the selection of products which have been sold down the years.

Antoinette's 'packages' are mounted in handcrafted Walnut Cases that are reminiscent of the display cabinets in the store in New York.
