Deirdre Keohane, born of Irish parents in Uranium City, Saskatchewan, Canada, graduated from David Thompson University in Nelson, B.C. Canada, Crawford School of Art and Design, Cork, Ireland and Limerick School of Art and Design, Ireland. As well as Fine Art Painting, her work includes over 10 years experience Illustrating with McGill University in Montreal and five years Animating with the National Film Board of Canada.

Deirdre Keohane paints her surroundings with a unique style, enthusiastic perspectives and a daring palette. There is a skilful naivety to Deirdre's work which draws the viewer into her paintings be it from a birds eye perspective or at times as an observer from an obscure vantage point. From miniature to large scale paintings and murals, her attention to detail offers a rich visual experience.
