Jennifer McAuliffe is a Fine Art graduate of the Crawford College of Art and Design, Cork, Ireland. After studying painting and life drawing in college, she continued to develop her knowledge of materials and technique. She is a firm believer in drawing as a foundation for developing skills as a painter.

Jennifer has also studied graphic design and photography graduating with honours. Jennifer works primarily in oils, painting Cork landscapes, old Cork scenes and architectural scenes of Cork. Her interest in photography has always been key in her work as a painter. Her attention to detail, while capturing the effects of seasonal light on the subject, are characteristic of Jennifer's atmospheric and emotional style.

Time and its affects on light and colour, has left its impression on Cork city and it is this that artist Jennifer McAuliffe draws inspiration from for many of her paintings of Cork's historic landscapes and landmark buildings and the charm of the older, and sometimes less well-known, sights and scenes of her native Cork City in Ireland.
