Tom Climent is known for the large scale of his paintings, his bold use of paint and brooding dramatic colour. In 1995 his degree exhibition caused huge excitement at the Crawford College in Cork with almost all of his paintings seeling out to established collectors and public venues. His career has continued in the ascendant since then, and even more so as his work matures. 

After graduating from the Crawford College of Art and Design, Tom received the Prestigious Victor Treacy Award in 1996 and was nominated by art critic Brian Fallon to exhibit in a solo show in the Temple Bar Gallery the following year. He has also received the Tony O’Malley Traval Award.
